Oh boy Nintendo did it again! Link’s Awakening is being remade!

Link’s Awakening for the original Game Boy was released back in 1993. A deluxe version for the Game Boy Color came out in 1998. Now over 15 years after it’s original release, Nintendo via their latest Direct, announced a full blown remake for the Switch.

A quirky entry of sorts, as Link is not in Hyrule but Koholint Island after his boat was destroyed and washed up on the beach. Neither Princess Zelda or Ganon makes appearances in this adventure either. With a style very akin to A Link Between Worlds, the Link’s Awakening remake looks to already be a winner.
